We are seeking a Mechatronics Intern that would love to work on ULTRON- our humanoid teleoperation system.
As an intern, you will:
- Develop software for a real-time teleoperation system using Python and C++
- Integrate cameras, sensors, and embedded hardware using various communication protocols
- Assist with electrical work, including wiring, circuit integration, and power system setup
- Deploy and test robotic applications using ROS on Ubuntu Linux and NVIDIA Jetson platforms
- Build, containerize, and manage development environments with Docker
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate hardware, software, and control systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Familiarity with integrating sensors, cameras, and hardware interfaces (USB, I2C, UART, CAN, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for robotics or embedded systems development
- Understanding of electromechanical systems, including motors, motor controllers, and actuators
- Comfortable working with ROS, Linux (Ubuntu), and Docker
- Hands-on experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and hardware bring-up
- Experience with humanoid robots and robot arms is a plus
- Teleoperation visualization skills in rendering or VR are a plus
- Exposure to microcontrollers and embedded platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) is a plus
Expected Length: > 3 months (flexible length)
Salary: $4-6k per month
